Cultivating Mature Discipleship in Young Adults

Cultivating Mature Discipleship (CMD) aka “Command”

CMD’s vision is ministry for the “whole man” (spiritual, emotional, and natural) to cultivate mature discipleship. Targeting young men and women (High School Seniors through 25 years old), CMD addresses four main areas to develop the “whole man”:

  • Spiritual
    • Prayer /Devotion Time; How to Study the Bible; How to look for a mate; Defending your faith; Understanding your Gifts; How to Witness; Withstanding Spiritual Warfare; Growing your faith; Serving in the ministry
  • Emotional
    • Managing Relationships (Parents, Siblings, Friends, Dating, Classmates, Co-workers)
    • Dealing with emotions (Anger, Rejection, Depression, Suicidal Thoughts, Self Esteem, Pride, Jealousy, Infatuation, Lust, Disappointment, etc.)
  • Natural
    • Finances; Career Development; Education; Etiquette; Drugs/ Alcohol; Modest Attire
  • Christian Fellowship
    • Activity nights (Dinner, Skating, Movie Night, etc.)

CMD’s Foundation Scripture: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ~Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV)
